Keynote Speech, Pantomimer Sister Hiromi
Hello everyone! I am Sister Hiromi, a pantomimist delivering smiles to the world through pantomime! For this Fall Conference, I have been given the honor of delivering the keynote performance. I usually demonstrate the beauty and the many facets of pantomime through lessons, workshops and performances. Basically, the expression of pantomime doesn’t require any words nor any stage props, because your body IS your prop, and you use it to communicate emotions and stories.

You may ask, how can telling a story without using any words, be possible, however if you try it, you will understand how it works and you will come to realize how true it is. You’ll definitely be amazed!

It is said that 80% of all human communication is done through sight. Indeed, sometimes our body can be more expressive than our very own words. In any kind of communication, if you can articulate your feelings or convey important information with your body freely, you are most likely to have a closer connection with your audience. Using emotions as a visual aid surpasses words or reason, and grabs the hearts of your audience more effectively.

Today, I‘ll give you some tips on how to master body language and the range of possibilities, through pantomime. I hope you enjoy this activity with a supple body and an open heart.

I’m grateful to be here with you. Thank you very much.
